Race 3 of the 2025 ASRA season was Sunday, June 29th at Lebanon Valley Dragway. Day 2 of this double-header weekend brought 48 drivers. The top points earner for this weekend would go home with a 55-gallon drum of VP race fuel, courtesy of Lebanon Valley. Nic Barsamian was in the lead for this fuel, coming off his Saturday race win.
After 1 qualifying run and 3 rounds of eliminations, 6 racers remained for round 4. Starting off round 4 was Nic Barsamian against Lynda Preiser for a C/SA heads-up battle. Preiser with the starting line advantage, could not hold off the Tilburg-powered Chevelle of Barsamian, with his 10.677 on the 11.40 index. Â

Up next came George Mirza against Jim Farrell. Mirza had the advantage with a stellar .009 reaction time. At the finish line this matchup saw a double breakout run, favoring Farrell by just .002. The final round 4 pair was T.J. Boucher against Joe Hertline. T.J. would leave first with his 11.40 dial against Hertline’s 9.68 dial. T.J. left the line clean with a .031 reaction, before his win light turned on after a red light from Hertline. This would give T.J. the semi-final bye run, to face either Barsamian or Farrell in the final round.
T.J. Boucher, with the round 5 bye run, opted to break-the-beams to save it for the final round that was just moments away. Barsamian and Farrell faced off to see who would be joining Boucher. Barsamian and Farrell left the starting line with only .004 separating them, making this anyone’s race. At the finish line, Barsamian got there first but broke out running a 10.682 (10.69) to Farrell’s 10.228 (10.20), giving Farrell the round win.
The final round left T.J. Boucher and Jim Farrell. Farrell kept his 10.20 dial from the previous round, meaning he’d leave second to Boucher’s 11.37 dial. T.J. left first with a .047 reaction time, giving him the advantage to Farrell’s .105. Boucher’s advantage in reaction time gave him space to run a 11.388 (11.37) to take the stripe and best Farrell’s 10.219 (10.20).
Race 3 concluded with a second win for T.J. Boucher, putting him in the #1 points spot after this double-points weekend! The Lebanon Valley sponsored drum of fuel goes to Nic Barsamian, with a race win and semi-final finish. Congratulations to T.J. Boucher on another victorious outing!
