Race #5 took place on Sunday August 17th, 2025, at New England Dragway. 46 racers competed on this day-2 of the double-race weekend, with less than a week before the New England Dragway Divisional race. Race #5 solidifies the 16-car ladder for the Gutters by Design Shootout, scheduled for September 20th at Lebanon Valley Dragway.

Kicking off round 4, there were 6 racers remaining. The first pair of this round was Dean Ribeiro in the ‘94 Camaro against George Mirza in his ‘71 Duster. Off the starting line, only .005 favored Mirza. At the finish line, Mirza crossed first by .038 to break out running a 10.753 (10.76) to give Ribeiro’s 10.996 (10.97) the go-ahead to round 5. Up next came Pete Foster against TJ Boucher. The dial ins were separated by only .26, with TJ leaving first. Foster gained some ground on the starting line and was able to get around TJ to run a 11.126 (11.11) for the win. The final round 4 matchup was between Dean Cook and Raffe Karaguezian. Cook, with the slower dial, left the line first with a .011 reaction time, before Karaguezian turned it red.

Round 5, only 3 remained. The first matchup was between Dean Cook in his Ford and Dean Ribeiro in his Chevy. Ribeiro had the better reaction time and was able to cross the finish line first to run 11.002 (10.97) to beat the 11.723 (11.70) of Cook. Pete Foster had the bye-run this round, where he opted to break-the-beams in preparation for his final round against Ribeiro.
